I am currently employed at a clinical crisis center, located within a hospital system. I work with a team of nine other full-time individuals providing short-term crisis intervention and solution-focused work to assist individuals in meeting their goals; mind, body and soul. We respond to crisis calls within the community for high risk mental health concerns in addition to providing in-center counseling. My therapeutic approach involves meeting a patient where they are at, and focusing on coping skills to assist in getting the patient through the day. We work collaboratively with other professionals in the community to make informed decisions in the best interests of those that we serve, as well as utilizing evidence-based practice models.
