Currently, I am the Clinical Coordinator for a sub separate program in the Somerville Public School that is specifically designed to help students with a myriad of mental health issues. I have significant experience with high level crises situations, crisis management and coping strategies. I have worked with a variety of clients, including adults and families and children. My approach varies slightly depending on what the client needs in that moment. I use a reality based approach that helps clients understand what is available to them in times of struggle and teaches the client skills to better self regulate in times of stressors. I utilize both the clients innate skills and their ability to acquire realistic goals/needs and wants. Ultimately, my goal is to help the client feel heard, empowered and capable of self regulating.
